Writing as Drawing

I found this session really interesting as I've never really thought of using writing to make art. Chloe provided lots of different fonts for us to draw, while drawing the letters we had to look closely and consider the form, shape and negative space within the letter. I made a little book with a few fonts that I liked, then went on to doodle and make some of my own fonts. I think I'll add more to this book because as I found the typography pretty interesting to work with.

After the first session of drawing fonts I went on to do some relief prints using polystyrene. I'm really enjoying printing at the moment and would like to continue experimenting with it in the future.
