Jonathan Lasker is an American abstract painter, throughout his career he has played an integral role in postmodern painting. He is best known for his free form, geometric and graffiti-esque mark making methods. Since finding Lasker's work I've become quite a fan, I'm really enjoying abstract and experimental art at the moment and his work is clearly representative of this approach.

This is one of Lasker's earliest paintings from 1977, I feel like a clear comparison can be made between his work and my own recent work looking at experimental mark making and textures, however especially with this piece entitled 'Moody Room'.
Below are some more of Laskers Paintings, alongside some of my own work that I think relates.
